Thursday, November 8, 2007 __ *Taking Chances
When we used to be young, it was all about chasing after something.
A dream, some excitement or just something that your parents would never want you to do.
But the older you get, the less risk you take.
There are more things are at stake.

I think, the older you get
the more scared you are to let someone break your heart
and leave you with nothing.

I'm laying down my cards.
I'm done with betting, with figuring out the odds.
My heart was broken once.
So what are the chances lightening will strike again?

I'm all in.

Words of Wisdom
"I walked a mile with Pleasure;
She chatted all the way;
But left me none the wiser
For all she had to say.

I walked a mile with Sorrow,
And ne’er a word said she;
But, oh! The things I learned from her,
When sorrow walked with me."

-Robert Browning Hamilton
